Whip-It-Up: Falling behind!

Ok, so I'm behind on the Whip-It-Up challenge and it's only just started! :/ So I have to do 2 recipes this week to catch up.

This challenge really is making me cook more than I have ever in my entire life! I mean, I actually baked a cake! It is pretty fun but it also makes me realize that I am unprepared to be a cook, since I am lacking in some essential kitchen equipment, such as a measuring cup, pans and woks, etc.

I think I may have to think about investing in some essential kitchen equipment. Does anyone know of any good but inexpensive places to buy kitchen stuff?

  1. You could try Costco or even Walmart for some plastic measuring cups and mixing bowls. For pans you might want to spend a little bit more than the bare minimum though, as the coating on the cheap ones tends to peel off after a number of washes. But if you really don't think you'll use them all that much then just grab some cheap ones. You can get really decent stuff at the Bay and HomeSense, and high end stuff at specialty kitchen/home stores... I know there's one on the corner of W. Hastings & Howe, and another one at the Park Royal Village in West Van. Those stores sell some stuff at reasonable prices, other things at vast cost, but the good thing about their stuff is that it's quality and will probably last for your entire life and beyond.

  2. Cool! Thanks Laura! Looks like I may have to do a kichen shopping trip. :)
